The Blossom at Bartram Complete Street Project has been a year-long community-driven process to develop a new roadway design that makes dangerous stretches of roadway safer including 49th Street, Grays Avenue, and Lindbergh Boulevard, and connecting streets to the Schuylkill River Trail.
This walk starts at 49th and Woodland and continues down the study corridor along Grays Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard and ends at a community event for the project at 56th and Lindbergh, showing the preferred roadway alternative, gateway designs, and other study recommendations. There will be light refreshments.
You’ll also learn about SEPTA’s Trolley Modernization Program, PIDC’s Lower Schuylkill Biotech Campus, and PHA’s Bartram Village redevelopment plans.
The walk is approximately .7 miles long. Please wear good walking shoes. This is not a fully accessible walk due to sidewalk conditions. The walk start is served by two trolleys, the Routes 11 & 36, and three buses, Routes 12, 52 and 64.
The end of the walk is served by the Route 36 trolley.
