Clean Air Council Statement on the George Floyd Murder

Clean Air Council supports Black Lives Matter and an end to racial injustice in America. Everyone has the right to breathe and the right to breathe clean air no matter where you live. 

 

New Cobbs Creek Trail Segment!

The Counci's hard work in Cobbs Creek is producing results. The new Cobbs Creek Trail segment between 70th St and Woodland Avenue pushes the trail's total paved length to over 4 miles. This includes a new physical barrier between the trail and roadway to allow safe passage for cyclists and pedestrians through a dangerous underpass.

 

Clean Air Council Trains Resident Watchdog Groups in SWPA 

The Neighbors For Clean Air Program in Southwest PA has trained 80 people to become group leaders in the fight for oil and gas industry accountability. These leaders are formed 60 groups like the Allison Park Neighbors Group to make sure people forced to live near oil and gas infrastructure have a voice in the process.

 

Explore Places With a Common Theme Using GoPhillyGo Tours

The Council's multimodal trip planning website GoPhillyGo has a new feature that allows you to explore multiple destinations with a common theme. Take a trip to all the points of interest in Wissahickon Valley Park or plan a long bike ride along Philly's Delaware River waterfront.

 
 

The Council's Air Monitoring Program Expands to Delaware

Clean Air Council successfully helped residents monitor the quality of air in several North Philadelphia Communities. Now The Council is installing 50 air monitors in South Wilmington and along the Route 9 corridor to monitor unregulated dust pollution from the encroaching gravel grinding and asphalt industry.
