Dear Friend, Clean Air Council continues to work in South and Southwest Philadelphia to help communities envision new projects (small and large) that can improve local water and air quality. Please join us at Stinger Square Park on Wednesday May 29th from 6-8PM. At our last meeting at DiSilvestro Recreation Center in September, several residents mentioned possible locations for local greening projects in addition to concerns about the redevelopment of the former Philadelphia refinery. At the May 29th meeting, we will share the latest updates about permit proposals for warehouses at the former refinery site and opportunities to get involved. At this meeting you can also work with the Olin Design Studio to discuss and design local greenspace projects, at least one of which will be implemented in the area. We will also discuss our local air monitoring project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Interested residents can sign up for a home air monitor by clicking here or visiting cleanair.org/airmonitor. Installations will begin this summer. Climate Resilient Communities Visioning Workshop Wednesday May 29th, 6-8PM Stinger Square Park, 3200 Dickinson St., Philadelphia, PA 19146 Food and refreshments will be provided. The first 20 attendees will receive $25 Visa gift cards for their time. Click here or visit cleanair.org/resilient to learn more and answer our project survey. We want to hear from you!
